Abortionists and endowed gay-studies chairs

Yeah. I tried to make that header as non-sensational as possible, because sometimes I get sick of people using extreme words to catch people's eyes or divert debate from the topics at hand. However, I still think it would have been accurate to write "Baby killers and Harvard's homosexual indoctrination." Because that's what these news items are about.

National Review writes an excellent editorial about the murder of Kansas abortionist George Tiller. I agree completely: That abortionists kill small children does not justify shooting them in cold blood. Absolutely not. That some deranged man killed an abortionist does not justify calling all pro-lifers deranged and provocative.

In other madness, Harvard decides to endow a visiting chair of LGBT studies. Now, this wouldn't be madness if it were other than an advocacy position, perhaps. Homosexuality is clearly currently a prominent social issue, and thus merits intelligent research and discussion. I doubt, however, anyone will find it at Harvard. (So, SO glad I went to Hillsdale instead.) Sigh. Another opportunity wasted . . .
